The remnants of Harvey have a near 100% at re-development according to the NHC. This storm will track towards the TX coast Friday/Saturday where it may slow down, move inland and then possibly track east back out over the Gulf. It’s too soon to determine how strong the system may get, but it may easily reach strong TS or CAT 1 hurricane status. We have issued Elevated Alert Levels for the TX coast & a portion of SW LA due to an increased risk of being impacted based on the latest data. Heavy rain and flooding are going to be a major concern with this system as it could be a slow mover once it makes landfall. All interests & residents along the western Gulf Coast should monitor the progress of this system very closely over the next few days.
