The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, PA conducted their preliminary survey studies, and they have concluded an EF1 tornado did touchdown in Washington, PA.
It is estimated that the wind speeds were around 90 MPH, and the tornado lasted 2.4 miles with a width of 250 yards, or 750 feet.
Severe structure damage was notated on several homes, including a destroyed garage for the Lone Pine tornado.
Washington county is home to now 12 tornadoes. The largest one was and EF2 tornado on June 30th, 1990.
